Created by Tim Urban, the peaceful world of ages past is captured in this Cypress swamp scene brought to life by the subtle interactions between light and stone, wood and glass. A forest of piece-by-piece constructed Pecky Cypress trees overlays a beautiful, shimmering stained-glass waterway in which a bright backlit sky made of translucent, golden quartzite allows the scene to showcase its ever changing light effect. Featuring two young Native American girls paddling through a forest populated with pieced, layered stone egrets, herons, ibis, ducks, and even a bluebird perched on an oar, with but a small spotlight shined through the bold quartzite sky, this incredibly dynamic piece will surprise as it radiates its beauty throughout the darkest room.
