This sacred place is saturated with images that represent a powerful prayer for water. A robed figure with outstretched arms and corn plants sprouting from his head welcomes the water spirits of this place.

All of these images and symbols are etched here as prayers for precious water. Butterflies are powerful symbols of rain and rebirth and their appearance within petroglyphs are rare. In the physical world they can be often seen fluttering around the smallest of springs. Terraced rain clouds with plants atop them drift across the rocky landscape reminding the spirits to release the spring rains as the ghostly figures of water carriers, with their earthen jars balanced upon their heads, trudge along a never-ending path. The magic of a long-legged water bird also flows here, perched above a ring of concentric circles. Concentric circles are a true water symbol that represent the ripples of water and can also mark the location of a doorway to the spirits. The doorway of this scared place is guarded by a serpent that has encircled it. This is fitting because the snake is also a powerful rain spirit. All of these wonderful petroglyphs create a lasting prayer to the rain and water spirits of this place, and for the abundance of water in all its forms.
