“Fawn”

The young maiden is pure. She is kneeling to symbolize preparation for womanhood or for marriage. The Fawn is a symbol of innocence and purity. As a young girl enters her initiation ceremony she is reminded of her duties in womanhood, however is blessed with the qualities of a doe. She carries these qualities throughout her young adult life into marriage.

She enters the ceremony a child, without shoes, makeup or jewelry of any kind. She leaves the ceremony a woman and prepared with the knowledge of taking her place in her mothers clan.
