“The Warrior”

This art piece honors the warrior through the voice of a mother, capturing both pride and the quiet ache of letting go. Rooted in Native American culture, it reflects the sacred balance between love and duty—where a son carries the strength of his people, and a mother’s prayer becomes his shield.

THE WARRIOR-A MOTHER’S SONG

He was my baby, soft and small,
Chased the sun and heard the call.
The eagle watched him from the sky,
And I knew one day, he’d learn to fly.

Oh my son, my heart, my prayer,
You walk the path with strength and care.
But still I cry when you must go,
To guard the tribe from wind and snow.

He learned the drum, he learned the bow,
He walks where rivers dare not flow.
He speaks with truth, his eyes like flame,
He carries honor, not just name.

Oh my son, my hope, my fire,
You carry dreams that never tire.
But still I fear the blade, the night,
While you go far to stand and fight.

Spirit of sky, Spirit of land,
Hold my son in your great hand.
Guide his feet where danger lies,
Let him return with morning skies.

Oh my son, my blood, my grace,
You walk the stars with eagle’s face.
Though I may weep when you’re away,
The warrior walks — and I must pray.

Go, my child, and do what’s right…
But come back home with every light.
