“Dance, Dance, Dance”

“In the physical world, dual or opposing forces govern our existence. This can be experienced in many ways. Newton’s third law of motion, for instance, states that for every actions there is an equal and opposite reaction. The concept of duality would include the opposing forces of good and evil, mind and matter, life and death, and physical verses spiritual forces.

Yes, life is not always a bed of roses. But we do have choice over what we choose to dwell on and allow to define us. I know people who seem to live by Murphy’s Law, and usually seem to be under some sort of continual and reoccurring storm cloud of life. I see them seem to dwell on these storms of life.

It just seems to me that letting all of that go and dancing through life is a better option.

I am becoming more and more convinced that a lot of what happens to us is neither thrust upon us nor is it totally random. I think deep down we decide whether or not we are deserving. Not entitled, but deserving. There is a difference.”

The art of Southwest native Richard Pankratz is design driven. The element of Pankratz’ design can be easily recognized, even though all of the individual elements of the pieces are radically different. Pankratz refuses to be bound by either subject or media, he feels that artists must somehow find a way to express a segment of the world in which they exist, and that as they take this journey, themes should be explored continually in multi-faceted arrays of variation.
