“Bosom Buddies”

“Bosom Buddies is a term that has largely been replaced in our vernacular with the term BFF or best friend forever. But the term implies two people who harbor no secrets between them. This is symbolized by their mutual lack of covering so that nothing is hidden. They lean on each other for support. They have each other’s back. They cannot imagine existence without each other, for each would be greatly diminished without the constancy of the other. Life is just better with these deep relationships.”

The art of Southwest native Richard Pankratz is design driven. The element of Pankratz’ design can be easily recognized, even though all of the individual elements of the pieces are radically different. Pankratz refuses to be bound by either subject or media, he feels that artists must somehow find a way to express a segment of the world in which they exist, and that as they take this journey, themes should be explored continually in multi-faceted arrays of variation.
