“The Spectator II” was created as a companion piece to “The Spectator”. The piece embodies the elegance of a time when dressing up for the Derby or any event was a must. The artwork reflects the beauty in the accessories and the deep red of the lips is a striking contrast to the dark gloves and white brim of the hat. “The Spectator’ and “The Spectator II’ are a surprise of ingredients being less is more. I love the overall look of these two. The negative space pinpoints the focus on the subjects.
Creason’s works will invoke passion, boundless love, color and awe. His wife is his muse and main inspiration, always motivating him to create artwork that he might not have on his own. Creason chooses to depict women to spotlight their inner and outer strengths, beauty, and mystery. Using found jewelry, hand-blown glass, and garments to embellish his paintings, no two will ever be the same, but will always leave you inspired and entranced by his use of color.
