This piece reflects the sacred connection to ancestral lands in Native American culture, where the earth itself holds memory, spirit, and healing power. It speaks to the belief that places like Castle Rock are living witnesses of the first ones, carrying their fire forward and guiding each new generation in balance with the land.

WHERE THE FIRST ONES WALKED

Grandfather, the rocks glow red,
Like fire frozen where people tread.
Why do they shine? Why do they speak?
I feel them call, strong and deep.

These stones are old, older than name,
They hold the truth, they hold the flame.
Here the first ones stood on earth,
This land remembers their sacred birth.

Where the first ones walked, the spirit stays,
In every stone, in winds that play.
Castle Rock holds the light they sparked,
And in your steps, their fire is marked.

I feel a pull inside my chest,
Like wind that spins and won’t let rest.
What is this power that I can’t see?
Why does it rise and move in me?

That is the vortex, deep and wide,
It turns the soul from side to side.
It heals, it shows, it sets you free
The land is speaking through you and me.

Where the first ones walked, the spirit flows,
In every tree, in all that grows.
Castle Rock holds the voice of flame,
And through your heart, it speaks the same.

Walk with care, child of light.
This land is old, this land is right.
You are part of all you see—
Earth and stone, fire and tree.

Where the first ones walked, we walk too,
Their sacred fire now burns in you.
The circle turns, the song goes on,
The spirit lives though they are gone.
