There he sat in the hush of day,
Still as stone in a sunlit bay.
Eyes like lanterns, wide and bright,
Fixed on wings that caught the light.
She, the dragonfly, poised with grace,
A fleeting queen in a resting place.
He watched her shimmer, held his breath—
A moment carved in silence, depth.

And he was in awe…

Not for chasing dreams, just for what he saw.
Like stardust spun in morning skies,
She lived where wonder never dies.
No words were said, no vow was made—
Just heartbeats caught in golden shade…
For he was simply… in awe.
She rose on wings of glass and flame,
And still, he waited—just the same.
Though she was gone, her light remained,
Like gentle rain that kissed the plains.
He never moved, he never spoke,
But love had lit his world in smoke.
Some hearts don’t need to hold or bind—
They only marvel, pure and kind.

And now he waits on that same green leaf,
Beneath the sky, beyond belief.
If she returns or floats on by,

As lizards lie…
