“Bring It In”
by: Kristin McDonald$1,700.00
When Kristin sculpted Bring it In, she didn’t know the Covid virus was going to become controversial. At the time she was thinking about how random life and existence can be, for example, this new virus popping up among us. We can’t see what the future has in store for us, and sometimes looking back at the past can be just as baffling. Life is beautiful and sometimes hard, but we can’t escape it, it holds us tight. Kristin is an optimist at heart. We might find ourselves under the broken hearts of our journey from time to time, but she feels there is more beauty and love in the world than sadness or brokenness. If you are broken at this moment, wait a few more, and you will find joy again, and again, and again. That’s her wish for you.
Kristin McDonald’s artwork introduces the viewer to something truly whimsical and exciting. She does not shy away from topics bringing the viewer into a dream-like world and into the unknown. Working in a fine art foundry since 2005, she gained plenty of experience and skill applying patina to bronze sculptures which she truly thinks brings them to life. Now, she brings this talent into her own work.
