“Prayers to the Maker of the Moon”

by: Bill Worrell

“Prayers to the Maker of the Moon”

In a world of increasing complexities
Sometimes we lose clear sight
Of its marvels and its mysteries

So for granted we take familiarities:
Simple things:
The Stars, the Sun, the Earth, the Moon

But in the crystal focus
We can clearly see
The revelations of pure light

Then fall upon our knees
Thanking the Maker of the Moon
For simple things

Simple things
Simple things
How we thank the Maker of the Moon

For simple
Simple things
We offer prayers in bright morning Sun
And in soft Light of the Moon
