ONE WITH GREAT SPIRIT

The ancient shaman instructed his people
With these teachings

Great Spirit made all things
All Great Spirit made is sacred
We cannot live apart from Great Spirit
Then call to Him only when we have need

Great Spirit is everywhere – in all things
In the heavens, in the earth
In the clouds that give rain
In the rain that falls upon the earth
In the winds that blow across the prairies

Great Spirit is in the Sun, the Moon, the Stars
Great Spirit in in the fire, thunder, and lightening
In the trees, plants, and creatures
Great Spirit is in us

There is no life apart from Great Spirit
All around us is holy and sacred
Great Spirit sanctifies us.

We are one with Great Spirit
