“El Maestro”

“El Maestro”
Bill Worrell

Gene Tobey always seemed to have
Four hands whether he was creating art,
Building a studio, feeding his horses,
Or catching a fish.

He was always thinking and scheming.
Life was an exciting adventure for him.

The finest tribute to Gene Tobey is the love
He had for his wife Rebecca,
her two daughters, and his three children.
His enthusiasm was contagious.
We displayed art in galleries together
For a decade and a half.

Tobey is gone.
His spirit, his art, his memory live on.
Watch his legacy continue
Through his son, Josh.

I almost always dedicate my bronzes and jewelry
to someone who is or has been special in my life.
On the back of the shield is written:
– To Gene Tobey – Artist & Friend
