| Trigramas Description: | "Trigrams" - Signs whose simplicity of form embodies all the essence of Chinese wisdom. The eight trigrams designed on the basis of the YIN and YANG symbols make up the pieces in this series that is noted for its austerity.
These eight signs were conceived as images of what ocurred ub heaven and on earth. The concept of mutation, or perpetual transition from one sign to another, reigned supreme.
They represent certain processes in Nature, such as the passing of the seasons, the family and the different functions of each of its members, all seen through the interrelated movement of the 5 elements of sources of energy: water, metal, wood, fire and earth. |
