Mark White creates constantly changing curvilinear parallelograms that shrink and expand at slower speeds, and pulsate with stronger winds. His planes and lines become foreshortened as they pass each other in their respective orbits, creating a hypnotic array of kaleidoscopic compositions.
The process he uses for creating his art is sometimes serendipitous, following a certain line of experimentation without clinging to a known hypothesis. His most recent work is involved with what might be called organic or biomorphic kinetics. The copper and aluminum wind sculptures form a variety of images by variations in speed and direction. "I feel that I have been pursuing some way to produce a satisfactory kind of art all my life. In the last few years I feel that I have finally begun to produce work that is speaking the language I would like to speak."
