| The Gift Collaboration Bill Worrell / Jim Eppler Description: | About this Collaboration with Bill Worrell
In the late 1960s Bill Worrell was exhibiting in a gallery in Lubbock, Texas. A nineteen-year-old Jim Eppler saw his watercolors and arranged to take lessons from the artist whose work had captured his attention. That is how they met and began their friendship that has spanned the past three and a half decades. With Worrells love of ancient art and cultures of the Southwest, and Epplers love of nature and wildlife, the two have hiked, camped, played music, fished, photographed, made pottery, painted, drawn, and sculpted together as they have explored the great Southwest and the world of art. Through it all, each has been inspired and enriched by the others observations. As a celebration of their rich, enduring friendship, they now offer this collaboration in bronze. They hope it brings you joy.

| | The Gift Collaboration Bill Worrell / Jim Eppler Writing/Poem: | THE GIFT
The winds of fortune lift my wings. From the edge where the sky beginsI fly. To places above the pinions I soar. I frolic with the clouds. I dance in the air Above the tallest pines, Above the most lofty edifices. To the place of the ancient artists I fly. Their spirits visit me And anoint me with visions. From them I bring to you this gift.
