| Baja Design Medium Shield Description: | Medium hand painted Baja Design Wall Shield. Custom colors are available. Please call to inquire.
"The largest painted cave in the world is located in Baja, California. This giant cave, Cueva Pintada, is in a remote central mountain range. The painters who painted this cave at least one thousand years ago were called Giants by the inhabitants of the area. The reason for this being that the paintings themselves, were over ten feet tall. The painted shamans were representations of the painters themselves, along with the animals that they hunted and worshipped. The paintings were a plea for harmony and good fortune. Because of the incredibly rugged terrain surrounding this cave, these paintings have been experienced by few and new paintings are continuing to be discovered." - Ethan Deuel |
