| Victory of Love Description: | | "Victory of Love" is sculpted from Nero Maquina Marble, which is characterized by an overall dark gray color - almost black - and punctuated by veins of white and pale silver. Although dark in color, this sculpture is finished with a high polish surface that reflects light and enhances the figure. In "Victory of Love" a young woman stands alone, defiant, as she raises her arms above her head and holds aloft a flowing band of fabric. The negative space that results suggests the shape of a heart. |
