| Catch the Wind Description: | | Daniel Newman sculpted "Catch the Wind" from Colorado White Marble, a satin-textured stone with subtle iridescence and hints of wispy, light gray veins. This sculpture is one of the first in a new series by the artist. "Polychrome" - a special paint designed for stone - is incorporated into the composition, creating a hybridization of media and recalling the days of the ancient Greeks and Romans who believed a sculpture was not complete until it was painted! |
