In their lonely worlds, who dare to think
While the pietists put them to death
The pietists know the Earth is flat
And is the center of the Universe
That the sun moves across the sky
There was a beginning but will be no end
They know all things, the pietists
The self-proclaimed holy
Acknowledge they know little
Giving lip service to humility
Yet what they think becomes dogma
Cursed dogma! Feast of the gurus!
Their followers are their just desserts
While the blind lead each other
Into various ditches
The sun yawns in boredom
At the preposterous notion
Of the year Two Thousand
The Sun knows… each day
Is the beginning and the end
Of the new Millennium
