| Voices From The Caves Book Description: | The opportunity to glimse into the mind of an artist is rare. So many of the artist's thoughts are hidden - thoughts that we wonder about, thoughts that may never be revealed to us. Taken from his personal journals, the writings of Bill Worrell in Voices From The Caves - The Shamans Speak provide insight into some of the ideas, inspirations, feelings, and questions that drive an artist to produce tangible, visual self-expression in various media. Written with soul, heart, and even non-conformity, Worrell's writings are not, by his own admission, caveats or admonitions to anyone other than himself. They are, instead, his own intimate reflections and ponderings on subjects ranging from the passage of time to the existence of "spirits", and from spiritual wonderings to the pursuit and joyful celebration of the blessings of increasing clarity and LIGHT. Initially brought into the public eye as inscriptions on the backs of Worrell's bronze sculptures, acrylics on canvas, and wearable sculptures, these writings offer a glimpse into the artistic mind at work. Many of the pieces that carry inscriptions are represented within this book in full color photographic reproductions alongside the writings. Worrell's interpretations of ancient pictographic and petroglyphic art have enthralled art lovers worldwide and have captured the attention of archaeologists and theologians as well. In Voices From The Caves - The Shamans Speak, he shares with collectors and readers a portion of the inspiration this ancient art form brings to him.
